Early Hours Raid on High Street Shop – Cigarettes and Cash Stolen
Thieves struck a commercial premises on the High Street near Queen Street junction in the early hours of New Year’s Day 2022. The break-in happened between 1am and 8.15am on Saturday, January 1.
Till Wrecked and Stock Raided
The burglars smashed the till and made off with a stash of cigarettes and a significant amount of cash.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Clues
Kent Police are on the lookout for anyone who saw or heard anything dodgy in the area during the raid. They also want dashcam footage from the scene between 1am and 8.15am.
Officers urge anyone who’s been offered cigarettes under suspicious circumstances to come forward.
