Smoke and Sirens: Rapid Response to Tower Inferno
Thick, black smoke billowed from the building just after 8am, sparking about 30 emergency calls. The London Fire Brigade (LFB) scrambled ten fire engines, pulling crews from East Ham, Plaistow, Stratford, and nearby stations to bring the blaze under control.
Three Men Treated as Fire Ravages Flat
Three men escaped the burning flat before firefighters arrived and were treated at the scene by paramedics. LFB confirmed both the interior and the balcony of the flat were ablaze. Firefighters deployed aerial ladders and specialist gear to douse the flames.
The fire was brought under control within an hour, but authorities are still probing the cause.
