Missing Man in Basildon: Essex Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Philip Abbott
Last Seen Near Basildon Hospital
Essex Police are urgently searching for Philip Abbott, 45, who vanished from Basildon on Friday, November 15. His last confirmed sighting was near Basildon Hospital at about 9:10pm. There’s also been an unconfirmed report spotting him in the Repton Close area the next day, Saturday, November 16.
Philip is believed to be travelling on foot. Officers are calling on the public to help track him down.

- Height: Around 5ft 11in
- Hair: Short black and grey
- Glasses: Black-rimmed
Last seen wearing:
- Black hoodie
- Black joggers
- White trainers with blue and pink patterns
Police Push for Leads
Superintendent Leigh Norris said: “We’re growing increasingly concerned for Philip’s welfare. A dedicated team of officers is following up all lines of enquiry to bring him home.”
She urged taxi and delivery drivers who were near Basildon Hospital and Repton Close over the weekend to think carefully if they saw anyone matching Philip’s description.

Philip has links to Dagenham and Chelmsford. Police have expanded their inquiries to those areas to widen the search net.
