Nursery Shuts Doors Amid Mourning
The Early Learners Day Nursery, rated “Good” by Ofsted last year, has closed for the rest of the week out of respect and to allow work with relevant agencies.
“Dear parents and carers, as you are aware, this afternoon a medical emergency occurred at the nursery. It is with devastating sadness that we have to inform you of a child’s passing,” the nursery said in a message to parents.
“To enable everyone to process today’s tragic events, we have made the decision to close the nursery for the remainder of the week and also to allow us to continue working with relevant agencies. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.”
Community in Shock, Offers Support
The local community has been left shaken by the sudden loss. Parents and carers await further updates as authorities continue their inquiries.
