Blaze Breaks Out at Barking Shop with Flat Above
Tonight, chaos erupted as eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters raced to tackle a fierce fire on Station Parade, Barking.
Flat Devastated as Fire Tears Through First Floor
The flames gutted half of the first-floor flat above the shop, leaving significant damage in their wake. Miraculously, no one was hurt.

Crews worked extremely hard in hot arduous conditions to extinguish the fire,” said Station Commander Paul Green, who was on the scene.
The fire brigade responded swiftly after the alarm was raised at 7:09 p.m., managing to put out the blaze by 8 p.m. Teams from Stratford, Poplar, Barking, Plaistow, Dagenham, Millwall, and East Greenwich all pitched in to control the situation.
Cause of Fire Under Investigation
