Tragic Early Morning Crash Near Reigate Kills Two

Two men died and another remains in critical condition after their car slammed into a lamppost on the central reservation near junction eight in Reigate just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, February 23. Emergency services rushed to the scene following reports of the smash.

Trip to Dover Ends in Devastation

The trio were reportedly heading to Dover to catch a ferry to Amsterdam. A friend, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “They were on their way to Dover for the ferry to Amsterdam.”

Last night, friends visited the crash site, leaving flowers and tributes for the victims.

Remembering Jamie: ‘A Cheerful Bike Lover’

One friend paid tribute to Jamie, one of the victims, describing him as:

“A cheerful, outgoing person who really loved his bikes. Always out on the bikes. He used to go to the railroad tracks. That was more of a pastime for him, but he did it all the time.”

The group had left Bristol in the early hours. Another friend missed the trip after failing to find someone to look after his dog. “If he could have gotten someone to look after the dog, he would have been on that trip so he’s counting his blessings,” said their mate.

Family Mourns and Police Seek Witnesses

Adeel’s brother shared a heart-breaking death notice on Facebook, writing:

“RIP MY LITTLE BRO.”

Another tribute read, “RIP MY LITTLE SOLDIER.”

Surrey Police confirmed:

“A 31-year-old male and a 28-year-old man have regrettably died at the scene. Two more individuals were rushed to hospital with critical injuries.”

They are appealing for any witnesses to come forward regarding the one-vehicle collision on the M25 near Bletchingley, just by the M23 interchange.
