The British High Commission is teaming up with Steve Boon, president of Wine and Spirit Guys, to boost exports of Bahamian-produced alcohol to the UK.
Meet Steve Boon: The UK Spirits Whizz
Steve Boon, hailing from New Providence, is a big name in the wine and spirits world. He’s the youngest Bahamian to qualify as a wine and spirit lecturer with WSET at just 21. With 40 years of international experience and ties to the UK’s prestigious Worshipful Company of Distillers (the Spirits Guild), Boon’s set to use his expertise and contacts to open UK doors for Bahamian brands.
Webinar to Educate Bahamian Producers
The UK and Bahamas Chamber of Commerce (BCCEC) are hosting an exporters’ webinar on 29th March. It aims to educate Bahamian spirit makers on the UK’s favourable import rules and tariffs, giving local producers a vital edge.
