Defence Secretary Hails UK’s Role in NATO Stand-Off
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said: “Our armed forces are once again being called upon in the service of our Nation and I salute the bravery and sense of duty shared by all our personnel deployed to support NATO. Alongside our NATO Allies, these deployments constitute a credible deterrent to stop Russian aggression threatening the territorial sovereignty of member states.”
Wallace also chaired a virtual donor conference with over 25 countries, including the US and Canada, plus partners outside NATO, to coordinate ongoing support for Ukraine. This includes vital humanitarian aid, ammunition, anti-tank weapons, and UK-offered logistics help to ensure donations reach the frontline swiftly.
