Shock Rescue as Portsmouth Duo Plucked from Freezing Waters

Two people were rushed to hospital last night after a dramatic rescue at Portsmouth’s Camber Dock. One was pulled from the icy water just after 11pm, suffering from hypothermia.

Heroic Crew Member Dives In

As Portsmouth Coastguard Rescue Team arrived at the scene, a quick-thinking crew member from the Wightlink ferry St Clare leapt into action, plunging into the freezing water to save the casualty.

Both Treated for Hypothermia

Both individuals were taken to hospital and treated for hypothermia in what was a tense late-night rescue operation. With the pair now safe, the coastguard team stood down shortly after.
