Hillhead Coastguard Rescues Four Children Stranded by Tide in Gosport

Drama at Forton Lake today as four children were cut off by the rising tide while playing on a derelict vessel. Hillhead Coastguard sprang into action, teaming up with Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service to bring them back to safety.

The youngsters found themselves trapped by the incoming tide on an old, abandoned vessel in Forton Lake. The swift response by the Hillhead Coastguard and local rescue service prevented a potential tragedy.

Safe and Sound After Tense Rescue

All four children were safely recovered and given a thorough check by Coastguard officers. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the ordeal.

A Hillhead Coastguard spokesperson said, “We’re relieved the children were safe and uninjured. Our teams acted quickly to bring them back to shore.”
