Polish Man Charged with East London Stabbing Murder

A 22-year-old Polish national, Dawid Wycik, has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in East London.

Deadly Attack in Mount Pleasant Lane

Police rushed to a home on Mount Pleasant Lane, E5, at 11.29pm on Friday, 24 January after reports of a disturbance. Inside, officers found a man in his 60s with stab wounds.

Despite paramedics’ efforts, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after. Police believe the man was also Polish but are awaiting formal ID.

Suspect Arrested at Scene

Wycik, currently of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 January.

Men Known But Not Related

Investigators say the victim and the suspect knew each other but were not family members. A post-mortem will be scheduled to confirm the cause of death.
