Woman Busted for Wrecking Cemetery Ornaments in Swanscombe

A 46-year-old woman has been hit with multiple charges after vandalising graves in Swanscombe.

Criminal Damage and Assault Charges

Helen Devall, from Bromley’s Rayfield Close, faces five counts of criminal damage. She’s also charged with assaulting an emergency worker during custody.

Flowers, Vases Smashed in Park Road Cemetery

The drama unfolded after Kent Police received reports at 2:12pm on 23 July 2020. Someone had been seen smashing flowers, vases, and other ornaments placed on graves in a local cemetery on Park Road.

Officers rushed to the scene and searched the area. They soon arrested Miss Devall in connection with the damage.

Next Court Date Set

Devall remains in custody ahead of her hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 26 August.
