Second Rave Crashed in Brooks Mews – More £800 Fines Handed Out
The police were still tied up when they got another call around 2am about a second illegal bash at a flat in Brooks Mews, W1. They found 20 people raving and promptly dished out £800 fines to everyone there.
The hunt continues for the organiser of this second shindig.
Inspector Slams Party-Goers for ‘Selfish’ Covid Breaches
Inspector Kevin Fagan of the Central West Command Unit said: “Despite recent announcements about how and when Covid restrictions may be eased, nothing has changed in terms of the regulations. Illegal gatherings like this are irresponsible and put pressure on the emergency services who have to deal with the consequences of these people’s selfish actions.
“The rules are clear, as should be the message that the police will enforce them where wilful breaches are found to have taken place.”
With Covid rules still firmly in place, police are cracking down hard on illegal meet-ups that risk public health and strain emergency services.
