Three men locked up for nearly 30 years after vicious kidnap and knife attack on teen in Dewsbury.
Brutal Assault Leaves 18-Year-Old Seriously Injured
Conor Hinchcliffe, Zain Hussain, and Ateeq Rashid have been slammed with hefty prison sentences for a savage kidnapping and stabbing. The horrific attack happened on Clough Lane, Earlsheaton, back on 11 December 2018.
Police were first called for a stabbing report, but their investigation uncovered a chilling truth. The young victim was kidnapped, driven around, and subjected to a prolonged, violent knife assault that caused severe injuries.
Prison Terms Handed Down at Leeds Crown Court
- Conor Hinchcliffe, 23, of Batley, got 13 years behind bars.
- Zain Hussain, 21, from Dewsbury, received 9 years in prison.
- Ateeq Rashid, 20, of Batley, was sentenced to 6.5 years.
Police Hit Out at “Seriously Violent Attack”
Sergeant Ian Carruthers said: “This was a seriously violent attack and I hope the sentences handed down bring some comfort and closure to the victim. Violent offences will not be tolerated in our communities, and those responsible can expect significant custodial sentences.”
