Dartford Tragedy: Father and Son Killed in Horror Crash
Joshua Hoyle was left critically injured after a collision on Wednesday, August 18, involving a car driven by his father, Andy Hoyle. The 14-year-old sadly died from his injuries on Friday, August 27.
Andy, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene. Both father and son were from Dartford, Kent.
Family Grieves Devastating Loss
Joshua’s mother, Trudie Hoyle, said: “Joshua was our loving and energetic boy and the centre of both mine and Andy’s world. To have lost both of them in this way is absolutely devastating.”
She added, “As a family we will never stop loving and missing them, and would ask to be allowed to grieve privately while we come to terms with this tragedy.”
Seventy-Six-Year-Old Arrested Over Crash
A 76-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after the accident. He has been released under investigation while police continue their enquiries.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
The crash happened shortly after 11am. Sussex Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to come forward.
