Man Charged with Double Murder of Naomi Hunte and Fiona Holm
Carl Cooper, 65, from Broadfield Road, SE6, has been charged with the murders of two women, 41-year-old Naomi Hunte and 48-year-old Fiona Holm. He is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 14 July.
Tragic Death of Naomi Hunte
Naomi was found dead after police responded to a call at an address on Congleton Grove, SE18, on Monday, 14 February 2022. A post-mortem investigation at Greenwich Mortuary two days later confirmed she died from a stab wound.
Carl Cooper was arrested shortly after, on 18 February 2022, on suspicion of Naomi’s murder. He was released on bail, then under investigation, but was not on bail when Fiona later disappeared.
Fiona Holm’s Mysterious Disappearance
Fiona was reported missing on 29 June 2023, last seen on 20 June at an off-licence in Verdant Lane. The gap in contact and unusual circumstances turned the case suspicious. The investigation escalated to the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command on 11 July.
On the same day, police arrested Cooper again—this time on suspicion of Fiona’s murder. Following further inquiries, he was charged with the murders of both victims. Cooper was known to Naomi and Fiona.

Police are currently searching multiple addresses and open spaces across South East London, hoping to locate Fiona’s body.
