Serial Shoplifter Strikes John Lewis and Boots Repeatedly
Thomas Amos, 35, of no fixed address, faces a string of charges after a spree of thefts between November 23 and January 6.

- Nov 23: £209 of fragrances nicked from John Lewis, WestQuay.
- Nov 27: £300 electric toothbrush stolen from Boots, Above Bar Street.
- Nov 28: £145 of fragrances from John Lewis and £98 in gift sets from Boots.
- Nov 30: £901 of fragrances taken from John Lewis.
- Dec 7: £842 worth of clothing stolen from John Lewis.
- Dec 13: £587 in clothes taken from John Lewis.
- Dec 16: £407 of fragrances pinched from John Lewis.
- Dec 21: £560 more fragrances stolen from John Lewis.
- Dec 24: £449 of alcohol swiped from John Lewis.
- Jan 4: A whopping £1,388 in clothing snatched from John Lewis.
Breached Restraining Order and Drug Charges Added
Across these dates, Amos also ignored a restraining order banning him from John Lewis. On January 6, police found him in possession of Class A (diamorphine) and Class B (cannabis) drugs.
He was remanded to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today, Friday, January 7.
