This Morning, Fifteen Fire Engines And Approximately 100 Firefighters Were Dispatched To A Warehouse Fire On Freshwater Road

Firefighters battled a blaze at a two-story warehouse, destroying roughly a quarter of the structure. There were no reported injuries.

Inside the warehouse, there were several gas cylinders. Because some cylinders can explode when exposed to heat, they were cooled to room temperature.

The Fire Department was called at 12.09 a.m., and the fire was out by 2.31 a.m. Firefighters from Ilford, Romford, Hornchurch, Barking, and other nearby stations responded.

The fire’s origin will be investigated.
