Three Cars Torched in Worksop Arson Attack

Police raced to Tenby Grove, Worksop, just before 2am on 16 April after three cars were found engulfed in flames.

Fire Started Deliberately, Say Authorities

A joint probe by Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has revealed the fire was likely started on purpose in one vehicle. The blaze then spread to the two cars parked on either side.

No Injuries But Serious Risk

Thankfully, no one was hurt. But PC Jon Evans warned the fire could have caused real disaster had it spread further.

“Arson is an incredibly serious and dangerous offence, which can ruin and even end lives,” said PC Evans. “We’re determined to get to the bottom of this and need the community to step up if they saw anything suspicious that night.”

Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up

Inquiries are ongoing. Officers urge anyone with information to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 56 of 16 April 2023. Alternatively, tips can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
