In a harrowing incident in Salford, Manchester, a mother was tragically killed in front of her two children. The victim, Perseverance Ncube, 35, suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest in the Little Hulton area of Worsley. Obert Moyo, 45, has been charged with her murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
The incident took place around 2.40 am on Friday, where Ms. Ncube was found with serious injuries. She was immediately rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Moyo, residing in Bolton, has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Bolton Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The family of Ms. Ncube has paid tribute to her, describing her as a “loving and devoted mother who lived for her children, family, and friends.” Known as Percy to her loved ones, she was an active member of her church and had built a close-knit community for herself and her children. Her untimely death, a consequence of domestic violence, has left the family in immense grief and pain.
Greater Manchester Police have issued an appeal for information, requesting motorists and residents in the area who may have captured relevant footage on dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell cameras to come forward. A vigil for Perseverance Ncube was held in Little Hulton, where tributes were paid to her memory. Her family’s statement emphasized the profound loss felt and their commitment to supporting her children moving forward.
