Teen Girls Brutally Attacked on Sheffield Street

A shocking assault erupted on Washington Road, Sheffield, on July 3, 2023. Two teenage girls, aged 16 and 17, were viciously attacked by 21-year-old Cheyenne Sirvent.

Sirvent wielded a metal pole outside his home and launched a savage attack. One girl was left unconscious with serious facial injuries needing surgery. The second victim was also beaten and chased down the street.

Desperate Plea for Help Amidst Violent Assault

During the chaos, the 16-year-old made a terrifying phone call to her mother, begging, “Help me, Mum, I am going to die.” Remarkably, she later woke and sought help from a passing motorist and a friend.

Armed Suspect Caught with Kitchen Knife

Sirvent, fearing threats from armed individuals, called for help himself before police arrived. Officers and dog handlers found him at the scene carrying a kitchen knife and quickly arrested him.

Swift Police Action Leads to Guilty Plea and Jail

  • Detectives from the CID worked 30 straight hours gathering evidence, medical records, and witness statements.
  • The Crown Prosecution Service charged Sirvent with two counts of Section 18 wounding.
  • On February 2, he pled guilty to two counts of Section 20 Grievous Bodily Harm and possession of a bladed and offensive weapon.
  • Sheffield Crown Court sentenced him to 2 years and 2 months in prison.

Detective Constable Ashleigh Doggett said the two teenage victims can now start to rebuild their lives after the ordeal.
