13-Year-Old Boy Fatally Stabbed in Oldbury

West Midlands Police have launched a murder probe after a 13-year-old boy was fatally stabbed at a home in Oldbury yesterday afternoon.

Emergency Rush to Scene

Officers and paramedics rushed to Lovett Avenue at around 4pm on 29 August 2024. The teenager was found critically injured and given urgent medical care. Despite their efforts, he tragically died at the scene.

Homicide Team Leads Murder Hunt

A specialist team of homicide detectives has been deployed to crack the case. They are investigating all leads to track down those responsible for the youngster’s death.

“It’s absolutely tragic a young life has been lost,” said Detective Superintendent Shaun Edwards, who is heading the inquiry. “Specialist officers will support the family through this incredibly difficult time.”

Edwards added: “This investigation is our top priority. Detectives are working round the clock to bring the killer or killers to justice as soon as possible.”
