Man in His 70s Dies in Fatal Van Crash in Wallington
Detectives are hunting witnesses after a deadly crash in Wallington claimed the life of a man in his 70s.
Deadly Collision on Manor Road
The tragic incident happened on Tuesday, 1 October, around 9:45pm on Manor Road near Melbourne Road, SM6. London Ambulance Service called the police after a collision involving a box panel van and the elderly man. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and treated the victim, but he sadly died at the scene.
Driver Arrested but Later Released on Bail
The box van driver stayed at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail while police continue their investigation.
