Man, 46, Charged Over Fatal Stabbing
A 46-year-old Norwich man has been charged with murder following a deadly stabbing on Friday night. Norfolk Police rushed to a property on Mousehold Street at around 10:15pm on November 1 after reports of a stabbing.
Victim Dies at Scene Despite Emergency Efforts
Paramedics and police arrived quickly, but sadly the victim—a man in his 40s—was pronounced dead at the scene. A Home Office post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest.
Two Men Arrested, One Released on Bail
- Two men, aged 46 and 37, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
- The 37-year-old was released on police bail, due to return in January 2025.
- Elvis Vickers, 46, of Mousehold Street, Norwich, was charged with murder and remanded in custody.
Vickers will appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Police Investigation Ongoing—Public Urged to Help
The crime scene remains sealed off as officers gather evidence. The cordon is expected to stay in place for several days.
