Manhunt Underway in Plymouth After Woman Found Dead, Police Launch Murder Investigation

A murder investigation has been launched in Plymouth following the death of a woman who was found seriously injured in the West Hoe area on Wednesday evening, January 22, 2025.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they were called to West Hoe Road at 8:55 PM, where they discovered the woman, believed to be in her 40s, suffering from severe injuries in the street. Emergency services transported her to hospital, but she was pronounced dead in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Suspect Known to Police

Police have identified a male suspect connected to the incident and are actively working to locate him. Officers believe the victim and the suspect were known to each other.
