Murder Probe Launched After Woman Found Fatally Injured in Plymouth

A murder investigation is underway in Plymouth after a woman in her 40s was found seriously injured on West Hoe Road on Wednesday evening, January 22, 2025. Despite emergency services rushing her to hospital, she died in the early hours of Thursday.

Suspect Known to Police – Manhunt Underway

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the scene at 8:55 PM to find the victim suffering severe injuries on the street. Authorities have named a male suspect connected to the case. Officers believe the suspect and victim knew each other and are actively searching for him.

West Hoe Road remains cordoned off with a heavy police presence as detectives carry out extensive enquiries to track down the suspect.

While we believe this is an isolated incident, we ask the public to remain vigilant and avoid the West Hoe area while investigations are ongoing.”
