14-Year-Old Detained After 15-Year-Old Stabbed at Sheffield School

A 14-year-old boy has been detained by police after a stabbing at All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield that left a 15-year-old student with serious injuries.

Police were called to the school on Granville Road at 12:17pm on Monday, following reports of a stabbing. Emergency services arrived at the scene, and the 15-year-old victim was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. His family has been notified about the incident.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that a 14-year-old boy has been detained in connection with the stabbing. The incident is believed to be isolated, and the school grounds have been closed as police conduct their investigation.

In a statement, the police urged the public to avoid the area while emergency services continue their work. “We would like to reassure parents of pupils that we do not deem there to be a further risk at the school,” a police spokesperson said. “Further updates will be shared when possible.”

The school has been closed temporarily, and the police investigation is ongoing. Authorities are working to gather more information and will provide further details as they become available.

Parents and guardians have been reassured that there is no immediate danger to other students, but the school community is understandably shaken by the incident.

The school is expected to provide additional support to students and families during this challenging time.
