Charges brought after Police Officer attacked with hammer in Twickenham

Charges have been brought following an alleged incident in Twickenham during which an officer was injured. Brandon Flanagan, 18, of Bell Lane, Twickenham, was charged on Tuesday, 21 May with GBH S.18 with intent to resist arrest, possession of a bladed article, possession of an offensive weapon and allowing himself to be carried on a stolen vehicle. He has been remanded to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, 22 May. Police were called to the underpass by Jubilee Avenue, Whitton, TW2 at 3.30pm on Monday, 20 May following reports of two men on a moped behaving suspiciously. Two males were subsequently detained. A 16-year-old boy from Twickenham was also arrested and has been released under investigation.
