Shocking Attack at Eastwood Morrisons
A man wearing a grey hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms, and a black mask brutally kicked an elderly shopper in the legs at Morrisons in Eastwood. The victim, collecting a basket, was knocked to the ground in a shocking assault caught on CCTV.
Elderly Man Left Staggered as Attacker Walks Off
The victim fell heavily, causing alarm among staff and shoppers who rushed to check on him. The attacker casually strolled into the store’s main area after the attack before leaving less than a minute later. The incident happened at 2.40pm on Monday, 29 March 2021.
Police Launch Appeal to Track Down Man in Grey
PCSO Peter Keeley said: “The elderly man was simply going about his food shop, and to have this happen is absolutely unacceptable. We reviewed the shocking footage and are determined to find the man responsible.”
“Our neighbourhood policing team listens to community concerns and acts on information received. Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing.”
“We want to identify the man in grey and urge anyone who recognises him or witnessed the attack to come forward.”
