Spot Checks Snare 15 Speeders on Dumpton Park Drive

On Thursday 18 December, cops set up stop-and-search operations along Dumpton Park Drive. Out of 29 vehicles stopped, 15 drivers were caught speeding flat out. Locals had warned officers about antisocial driving during recent community meetings, sparking the clampdown.

Drug-Fuelled Driving Cracks: Two Arrested

  • A man in his 40s was nabbed after police sniffed cannabis in his car. Officers seized the Class B drug and charged him with drug driving. He’s now on bail while investigations continue.
  • Another drama unfolded when a driver in his 60s tried to flee police. His abandoned car was found nearby, leading to his arrest for possession of Class A drugs. He too has been bailed pending further inquiries.
