Fareham Borough Council has issued an urgent appeal after a council van was stolen yesterday. The vehicle, a distinctive Transit-style van with a caged rear, is used for collecting litter and clearing small fly-tipping.

The council warned residents to be vigilant. “The Police have been informed. If you see this vehicle, please do not approach it,” they said. “Report immediately to the Police quoting reference number 44260089828.”
