A 65-year-old man sparked horror after dialing 999 for help – only to threaten the arriving paramedic with an imitation gun.

Clive Monamy, from Hide Gardens, Rustington, contacted emergency services on May 5, 2024, citing mental health issues and requesting an ambulance. But when a South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedic arrived, Monamy met them with fierce verbal abuse and refused any treatment.

Paramedic Faces Life-Threatening Moment

Just as the paramedic was leaving, Monamy shocked everyone by declaring, “I have something for you.” He then whipped out a black handgun from under a pillow and aimed it straight at the medic’s face.

The terrifying stand-off ended with Monamy being arrested and locked up, ensuring the safety of emergency workers going forward.
