British Airways is pulling out of a war-torn Middle East country later this year as tensions explode in the region. With a US and Israel-led offensive targeting Iran, key air corridors have been shut down, forcing major airlines to rethink their routes.

The airline confirmed it’s contacting customers still stuck in the conflict zone to arrange safe travel back to the UK. “We’re in touch with customers who we believe continue to be in the region to support them and provide travel options back to the UK,” BA said.
