Emergency crews are currently at the scene of a fatality on the railway line near Royal Wootton Bassett.
Tracks Blocked for Hours
The railway line between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads is completely blocked. Services won’t resume for several hours, causing major delays and cancellations.
GWR Issues Travel Warning
“Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Swindon and Bristol Temple Meads the line is blocked,” a Great Western Railway spokesperson confirmed.
They added: “Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or delayed. Disruption is expected until 16:30 on 14/03.”
