A 28-year-old woman has been charged with murder following the death of a 54-year-old man in Suffolk.
Tragedy at Sparrow’s Nest Gardens
Police rushed to Sparrow’s Nest Gardens, Lowestoft, at 10.13pm on Friday, 20 March. Officers found the man unresponsive. Despite emergency crews’ efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is believed to be Gary Grant, 54, from Lowestoft. His family is being supported by specialist officers as investigations continue.
Amber Stebbings Arrested and Charged
Amber Stebbings, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. She was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has now been formally charged with murder.
Stebbings has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 March.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The killing is being treated as an isolated incident, with the parties believed to have known each other. The police scene at the park has since been cleared.
