Police have arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of abduction as the search intensifies for Cassidy, a 14-year-old girl missing from Rotherham.

Last Seen on CCTV in Rotherham Town Centre

Cassidy was last captured on CCTV at 7.11pm on Sunday, 29 March, near Bridgegate in Rotherham town centre. Since then, South Yorkshire Police have launched extensive enquiries, including CCTV reviews, door-to-door checks, local area searches, and phone record analysis.

Suspects in Custody as Search Continues

  • A 60-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman remain in police custody following their arrest for suspected abduction.
  • Police are urgently looking for Cassidy, who is described as white, 5ft 4ins tall, with very long ginger hair usually in a ponytail.
  • She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, black leggings, and carrying a small handbag, though she may have changed clothes.
  • Cassidy is known to frequent Thurcroft and Clifton Park areas.

Police Issue Urgent Appeal for Information

Officers are increasingly worried about Cassidy’s welfare. They urge anyone who has seen her or knows her whereabouts to come forward immediately.
