A Birmingham man has been slammed with a 25-year jail term for raping and sexually assaulting a woman and a teenager. Juma Ahmadi, 46, also received an indefinite sexual harm prevention order after his horrific crimes.
Victims Speak Out
Last July, a teenage girl bravely told a hospital doctor she had been sexually abused. The doctor immediately called 999 and ensured the girl’s safety. Police arrived and learned that Ahmadi had raped and sexually assaulted the girl over three years, often offering her money to buy things. The next day, the teenager gave a video statement at a police station. Around the same time, a woman in her 40s also came forward, revealing Ahmadi had raped her multiple times.
Judge Sends Ahmadi to Prison
Ahmadi, from Whitmore Street in Birmingham, was charged with nine counts of rape and sexual assault. After a trial, he was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court last week. The judge handed down 25 years behind bars and slapped on an indefinite sexual harm prevention order to keep the public safe. His victims’ courageous actions helped bring justice to light and ensure this predator can no longer harm others.
