Tragic Crash on Halifax Road Claims Life of Motorcycle Rider
Police were called to Halifax Road near the junction with Manywells Brow at 10:50am on Sunday, 11 October, following a collision between a white Volkswagen Caddy van and a black BMW motorcycle.
Motorcyclist Dies From Serious Injuries
The rider, 70-year-old Richard Grant from Sowerby Bridge, suffered serious injuries and sadly died on Monday, 30 November.
A female passenger on the motorcycle was also seriously injured but has since been discharged from hospital.
The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen van were unharmed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dash Cam Footage
Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicles beforehand. They are especially keen to review any dash cam footage.
