Teenager, 13, Busted After High-Speed Van Chase in Sheffield
South Yorkshire Police were called at 4.15am after a van was reported stolen from a business on Weedon Street. Officers spotted the stolen vehicle speeding down Bramall Lane at 6.30am.
Van Smashes into Ford Ka on Queens Road
The van came to a halt on Queens Road following a collision with a silver Ford Ka. Police located and detained the driver nearby – a 13-year-old boy from Sheffield. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
Ford Driver Taken to Hospital
The Ford Ka’s driver, a man in his 50s, was treated at the scene by Yorkshire Ambulance Service before being rushed to hospital. South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended to secure the area.
Queens Road Reopens After Crash
Authorities closed Queens Road at the junction with Duchess Road temporarily but have since reopened the road after clearing the scene.
