Police have blasted out a chilling image showing the brutal injuries suffered by an 80-something woman, struck with the barrel of an antique firearm during a terrifying robbery. The attack was carried out by two men — one a hulking six-footer, the other shorter and slimmer.
Stolen Jewellery Seized in Violent Burglary
Alongside the distressing injury photo, officers have also released images of the stolen jewellery taken in the break-in, hoping to track down the thieves and recover the valuables.
Detective Slams “Cowardly” Violent Assault
“This was a cowardly, terrifying assault on two elderly and vulnerable victims,” said Detective Constable 1 Evans. “There can simply be no justification for this level of violence. If these men had even a shred of decency, they would hand themselves in.”
