Three Men Busted After Drunken Disorder on Queens Drive!
Officers Spot Suspicious Breakdown at 10pm
Three men were arrested after cops on patrol noticed a car pulled up on Queens Drive just after 10 p.m. last night (8 July). Thinking the motorists needed help, officers went over – but quickly caught whiff of booze inside the vehicle and sensed something was off.
Scuffle Erupts: Officer Kicked and Spat At
The situation escalated fast. One officer was allegedly kicked and spat at during the confrontation, though luckily he suffered no injuries.
Triple Arrests: Weapons, Drugs & Drunk Driving
- A 31-year-old was locked up for assaulting an officer, being drunk and disorderly, driving while intoxicated, and possessing an offensive weapon.
- A 34-year-old was arrested for possessing an offensive weapon, breach of the peace, being drunk and disorderly, driving while under the influence, and possession of class B drugs.
- A 48-year-old faced charges for possessing an offensive weapon and drunk driving.
All three remain in custody as police dig deeper.
Police Praise Sharp Instincts That Prevented Disaster
“Thanks to the responding officer’s instincts, potentially dangerous weapons were seized and a serious road accident avoided,” said Detective Inspector Jon Kerry of Nottinghamshire Police. “No emergency worker should face assault while doing their job – it’s utterly unacceptable. Anyone who assaults officers will be arrested and prosecuted.”
