Toddler Trapped Under Car in Morning Crash – Not Seriously Hurt

A three-year-old boy was trapped under a car in Foster Avenue this morning but, thankfully, he’s not seriously injured. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at 9.26am after the shocking collision.

Rescue Drama on Foster Avenue

Police and paramedics quickly freed the youngster from beneath the vehicle. He was then whisked off to hospital for treatment and will stay overnight for observation.

Driver Arrested on Suspicion of Careless Driving

A 79-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving without due care and attention. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.

Police Update and Appeal

The police cordon has been lifted. Detective Constable Chris Taylor from Nottinghamshire Police said:

“Understandably this incident has caused a huge amount of concern, but I am pleased to report that the child involved appears safe and well. His family have been through an extremely upsetting ordeal and have requested that their privacy be respected.”
