Three-Year-Old Freed After Being Trapped Under Vehicle
A toddler was involved in a collision with a car in Foster Avenue this morning. Emergency services rushed to the scene at 9.26am after the three-year-old boy became trapped underneath the vehicle. Thankfully, police officers quickly freed the child and rushed him to hospital for treatment.
79-Year-Old Driver Arrested on Suspicion of Dangerous Driving
A 79-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving without due care and attention. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue. The police cordon has since been lifted, allowing residents back to their normal routines.
Police Confirm Child’s Condition and Appeal for Witnesses
“Understandably this incident has caused a huge amount of concern, but I am pleased to report that the child involved appears safe and well,” said Detective Constable Chris Taylor of Nottinghamshire Police.
“His family have been through an extremely upsetting ordeal and have requested that their privacy be respected.”
