Police Hunt Sweet Source After Children Fall Sick

Detective Sergeant Lisa Betchley warned parents to be cautious. “These children were incredibly lucky not to be more seriously affected,” she said. She praised two nearby medical students for their quick help, alongside ambulance and hospital crews.

“We’re still investigating where the sweets came from and urge anyone with information to come forward,” said DS Betchley. “If you have these products, consider how you store them and who can access them, especially younger children who don’t know what’s inside.”
