Teen Stabbed to Death in Dartford High Street Horror
Chris Enaruba has been found guilty of manslaughter after fatally stabbing 18-year-old Denzel Njemo in Dartford town centre.
Attack on Dartford High Street Ends in Tragedy
On the evening of 14 April 2023, Enaruba and an accomplice travelled to Dartford to meet Njemo. The meeting turned violent on the High Street when Enaruba lunged at Denzel with a knife, initially slashing his leg. A scuffle followed, ending with Enaruba delivering a fatal stab to Njemo’s chest.
Police Recover Murder Weapon and Arrest Suspects
Emergency services arrived quickly, but Njemo died at the scene. Enaruba discarded his jacket and knife near an electricity substation before heading to Darenth Valley Hospital for treatment on his own injuries. Police found the discarded items and arrested both men in Gillingham the next day.
Enaruba Guilty of Manslaughter, Accomplice Cleared
The 19-year-old from Cricklewood denied murder at maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone Crown Court but was convicted of manslaughter on 27 October. Sentencing is scheduled for 14 December. Meanwhile, the other man who accompanied Enaruba was cleared of assisting an offender.
Detective Inspector Ross Gurden said: “While Enaruba may never have intended to kill Mr Njemo, he travelled to Dartford armed and showed little hesitation in using a deadly weapon.”
“His actions have cut short a young life and devastated an entire family. Denzel had hopes of university and a career. Now his family faces the senseless loss of a beloved son and brother.”
