A Pair Of Suspected Burglars Have Appeared In Court, Accused Of Numerous Break-ins In West And North Kent

Burglar Duo Nabbed After Spate of Break-Ins Across Kent and Essex

Benjamin Legg and Jack Piccolo have been arrested following a crackdown by the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad. The pair are suspected of a string of property raids in Kent and Essex on May 26, 2022.

Multiple Burglaries and Theft Charges

Piccolo, aged 25, from Station Parade, Barking, Greater London, and Legg, 27, of Academy Drive Road, Basildon, Essex, face multiple charges. Legg was hit with 10 burglary charges, while Piccolo was charged with seven. Both men also face one count each of bank card theft.

Homes Targeted Over Ten-Day Crime Spree

Between May 15 and 24, homes across several towns were broken into. The hit list includes properties in Rochester, Dartford, Aylesford, Maidstone, Basildon, Billericay, South Ockenden, and Rochford.

Among the stolen goods were vehicles taken straight from driveways, power tools, and wallets.

Remanded in Custody as Investigation Continues

Both suspects appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on May 28. They were remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court, date yet to be confirmed.
