Predator locked up for abusing child over two years in Rochester
Graeme Mulock targeted young victim multiple times
Graeme Mulock, 65, from Yantlet Drive, Strood, abused a child in the Rochester area between December 2016 and December 2018. kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police launched an investigation in 2018 after allegations came to light. Officers discovered Mulock had sexually assaulted his young victim on three separate occasions.
Denying charges but found guilty at Maidstone Crown Court
Mulock initially denied the accusations during police interviews. However, he was charged with four sexual offences, including two counts of sexual assault of a child. After a three-day trial, a jury convicted him on 24 June 2021.
Sentenced to three and a half years plus lifelong registry
Mulock was sentenced the very next day to three years and six months behind bars. He will also be listed on the sex offenders register for life.
“Mulock acted despicably by targeting a vulnerable child over a period of two years,” said Detective Constable Judith Edwards of Kent Police’s Vulnerability Investigation Team. “He is undoubtedly a danger and it is right he is now in prison. I want to commend his young victim for their incredible bravery in helping us bring Mulock to justice.”
