Man Dies in Shocking Incident at Thumpers
Police rushed to Thumpers at around 8pm on Wednesday, 1 February, after reports of a man trapped under a vehicle. Fire rescue and ambulance crews were quickly on the scene.
Tragically, despite their best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are now supporting his family through this heartbreaking time.
30-Year-Old Arrested Over Fatality
A 30-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He remains in police custody as inquiries continue.
“This was a tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time,” said Detective Sergeant John Prendergast, leading the investigation. “We respectfully ask for their privacy to be respected.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives have launched a fresh appeal for anyone who may have information about the incident – especially anyone who saw a man on a bicycle around the area at the time.
“Any information, no matter how minor, could be vital in helping us move forward with the investigation,” added DS Prendergast.
