Man Charged Over Wimbledon Stabbing Death
Danny Webster, 30, from Merton, was charged with perverting the course of justice on Friday, 15 January. He is set to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 16 January.
Paul Dalton Stabbed to Death in Early Hours
Police were called at 12:55am on Wednesday, 13 January, after reports of a stabbing at an address on The Broadway, Wimbledon. Paul Dalton, 41, was found with stab wounds and sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family are being supported by specialist officers.
A special post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as a stab wound to the leg on Thursday, 14 January.
Two Others Also Charged Over Murder
- Mongo Bolili, 33, of Merton, charged with murder on 14 January.
- Ian Matu, 26, of Merton, charged with perverting the course of justice on 14 January.
Both appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 15 January, and were remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey. Bolili’s next hearing is on Tuesday, 19 January, while Matu returns on Friday, 12 February.
Another Man Released on Bail
A 53-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was released on bail, with a court date set for early February.
