Three Jailed for Covering Up Colchester Murder
Jay Dice, Toyn Williams, and Kayley Hodgkinson were sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court yesterday for perverting the course of justice following the brutal murder of 31-year-old Murdoch Brown in Greenstead, Colchester.
Murderer Locked Up for Life
Reece McHutcherson, 20, from Pillow Way, Buckingham, was found guilty of stabbing Murdoch Brown and leaving him to die in the street. McHutcherson received a life sentence and must serve a minimum of 20 years behind bars.
Drug Dealers Also Behind Bars
- Jay Dice, 23, of Leytonstone, was acquitted of murder and grievous bodily harm but sentenced to six years and 19 weeks for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and supplying Class A drugs.
- Kayley Hodgkinson, 32, from Cedars Road, Colchester, jailed for three years after being found guilty of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. She acted as a runner for the drugs operation.
- Toyn Williams, 29, of Winchester Road, Hale End, cleared of murder and manslaughter but sentenced to seven and a half years for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and involvement in Class A drug supply.
